I always think about how stressful and fast-moving life is when I am home in the States: I feel like I age a year everyday. Now that I am in France, I am seeing life and how we should be living it in a different light.
I have only been in Toulouse, France for about two weeks now and I already feel more at ease on a day-to-day basis. The French spend time with their families and encourage debates during meals rather than banning it from the dinner table: everyone’s opinions are valid no matter how ridiculous they may be. They treat one another in a polite way, but not in an overly friendly, two-faced, fake manner. They even walk with a certain ease that I rarely see in the States. Plus, they have an amazing sense of fashion, all look ten years younger than their actual age, and the boys are not too shabby either.
Let’s just say that I will learn a lot about how to work hard and play hard, but more importantly, how to relax.
